VVhat a class! Th ey were really one swell bunch ol kids. I haven't thought about some of them for years. l'll never lorget jack Rhodes and his hot rockets Or Larry Martin and his bright red pants. Been looking through some old annuals, too, and I found some interesting items there ..... F RESHMAN YEAR Well, we're in High School at last. I thought l'd never make it. This was the year that we could start to go to High School dances and assemblies. l'll never lorget the Confederate Ball sponsored by the Class ol' '54, At that time the little Conlererate hats were in fad and it really looked as il' the South were going to rise again. Thinking about some ofthe teachers we had, I don't think that anyone will forget Mr. Dodez in algebra or Miss King in English. SOPHOMORE YEAR This was the year for the lull organization of our class. During the early months of the school year we elected our lirst class officers. Our class prexy was Chuck Finn, vice-president was Carl Fritz. And let's see, Nancee Johnson was o ur secretary-treasurer, and Nancy Schauin and fcontinued on page one hundred thirty-eightj eighteen
