Painter Flack, business manager and his assistant Roger Buss along with a competent business staff kept the paper off the rocks. Here too the faculty proved its merit for Mr. Smucker was -.t all times willing to lend his advice. He also had charge of the journ ilism class which florr- ished well during its second year. Again representatives of the staff were present at the Journalistic Convention of Ohio held this year in Clevel md in conjunction with the National Scholastic Press Association Convention. Although the Observer isn t a member of the latter organization its delegates received all the privileges of membership at the convention. Work in each department was done much more efficiently this year. There was 1 smaller annual stiff than ex er but it was hoped that in this way an even better book might be published. The completion of this annual marks the end of the Observer s sixth successful year. b V. ------- -'e. - - Y ------- e----------- - - ' - -- Y . it-1-rr-v--- - :-'- ' K 9 3 lf?-Q..5.J,.E,flV.ER A N UA L ' 'Z z', 1 s', ss, A. , Sli' J '-Qui . , Sl1 fll , .-X s, H' 's, ,l.
