Drama Club Changes Format The Woonsocket Performing Arts Group switched from per- forming the traditional three-act play to a series of one-act plays. The series, Life's Laughable Follies , was tied together with a narration. Kathleen Zimmerman was the director. Pictured right, the National Honor So- ciety inducted eight new members in 1981. The new inductees consisted of; Back Row: Susan Podhradsky, Trent Steichen, Holly Hagman, Brett Ber- quist, Henry Linke, Tena Block, Lee Re- gynski, and Chad Andree. The graduate members are seated; Front Row: Gregg Bollinger, Jodi Davis, Lynn Cahill, and Gloria Christian. The Honor Society broke with tradition this year by including sophomores, Trent Steichen and Lee Regynski. Sophomores may be inducted if they maintain a 3.5 grade point average un- like the 3.3 needed by juniors and sen- iors. However, all candidates must meet the qualifications of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The candidates for membership were se- lected by a faculty council composed of Jens Andree, principal; Kathleen Zimmerman, advisor; Floyd Elenz, Lindy Peterson, and Linda Roth. Pictured right, active in the library this year were; Back Row: Sandi Vetter, Kel- ly Hughes, Kathy Goergen. Front Row: Renee Block, Yvonne Fougner, and not pictured, Ron Nielson. These six stu- dents aided Mrs. Larson in a number of different tasks in the high school li- brary, as well as in the newly acquired grade school library. Students Gain Opportunities Pictured below, the American Legion Auxiliary chose Pat Wade as their 1981 Boys State Delegate, and Henry Linke as alternate. Pat has participated in wrestling, declam, drama, band, chorus, pep club, and swing choir. He was also named to the honor roll a number of times. Henry has been active in athletics, 4-H, FFA, chorus, band, and has been named to the A honor roll several times. Pictured below, Kandy Kroell was selected Girl State candi- date, and Denise Christopher alternate, by the American Le- gion Auxiliary for 1981. Kandy has been active in girls basketball, track, chorus, band, band majorette, cheerleader, and was a carnival candidate her junior year. Denise has participated in chorus and band. She is Vice-Presi- dent of Luther League, and was a student council representa- tive for two years. She also attended the 281 Conference Business Contest and was carnival candidate her sophomore year.
