Suzie Steichen and Jerry Ball Vickie Bittner and Jon Farris One of the most important DAYS OF A SENIORS' LIFE is Homecoming. The 1976-1977 Ki-Yi Days began on September 20 with float building. The beginning of the main event was the girls' basketball game between the Wessington Springs Spartans and the victorious Woonsocket Red- men. Following the basketball game, Jon Farris, Jeff Davis, Jerry Ball, Suzie Steichen, Lori Cahill, and Vickie Bittner, homecoming candidates, marched in to the beat of the tom-tom. Student body vice-presi- dent, Jeff Tiede, crowned Priceness Lori Cahill and Chief Jeff Davis. Entertainment was provided by the senior girls who sang Tumblin' Tumbleweed and I'm an Indian Too , a junior class skit, and the cheerleaders skit. A pep rally and the burning of the W followed. September 24 began with the finishing of floats. The parade began at 1:30 P.M. with the color guard and Governor Richard Kneip in the lead. At 7:30 Friday night the Woonsocket Redmen were defeated by the Iroquois Chiefs. Evergreen helped ease disappointment at the Homecoming dance. Homecoming '76 came to an end Saturday with the alumni banquet and dance.
