Sophomores now had one year s experi- ence behind them. They proved it by taking first place in the Homecoming Parade with their float Tulare, The Team We ve Been Lookin For . Next, at the Carnival they followed second with $317.30. Their can- didates were Bobby Knigge and Caryn Moe. Class Officers: Kandi Steichen, President; Judy The Sophomore class entry in the homecoming Fredricks, Student Council; Lori Cahill, Secretary- parade. Treasurer; David Knigge, Vice-president. Gayle, could you speak up a little more? I can hardly hear you. The ,74-,75 school year found an interesting new student at W.H.S. Rosalinda Angeles became a member of our student body through the Youth For Understanding program. Rosa arrived August 19 and lived with the Arnold Zimmerman family until mid-July. She had completed her studies in primary and secondary schools in Mexico City and came to Woonsocket in order to increase her English vocabulary. In Mexico it has become very important to be bilingual--especially in the career Rose has select- ed, something in the line of tourist aid either with an airline or a tourist agency. When she re- turns to Mexico, she plans to begin training for such a career. One of her most interesting hobbies is that of dancing the folk dances of Mexico, which she has been doing since the age of three. She has five sisters and one brother. Her father is a jeweler. While in Woonsocket she saw her first snow and plenty of it. She said she would like to return for a visit but not when it is cold!
