Carnival 1972 This year's carnival was again a TIME of great rivalry between classes. October 12 was the time when each class began earning money, one trying to out do the other to enable their candidates to reign over the carnival. The freshman worked for Larry Murtha and Tina Kil- coin, the sophomores supported Kevin Dockter and Lee Ann Kringen, Jim Parker and Karla O'Riley were the junior candidates, and the seniors backed Chester Murtha and Lynn Parker. The big night finally arrived on October 28, the TIME for Woonsocket's 1972 Carnival to be held. Tension builds as rumors fly fast and furious, Seniors have the most money, No, the Freshman are going to win. Of course all of the disputes were settled once and for all when Mary Sue Bissell, the emcee, announced the winners. Seniors received fourth place, Juniors were third, then the moment of truth . . . the Freshman are second and reigning over our 1972 carnival are King Kevin and Queen Lee Ann. The Sophomores had topped all others by earning almost $600. 00. It was THEIR TIME. The time when the sophomores had reigned at the 1972 Carnival.
