The 1960 track squad consisted of these boys: Back Row: Jake Schlicht,Gary Canpbell, Dennis An- derson, Doug Druse, Mike O'Connor, Dave Druse, Darwin Johansen, Larry Maakstad, Mark Berg, Pat Christo- phers on. Front Row: Ted Funk,Jerry Jenssen, Ton Ball,Tom Carver, Ardell Johan- sen,Joe Dankey,Jim Carver,Owen Mc- Dowall,Ronnie 01inger,Bob Cunning- ham. Relaxing between runs are Jake and Dave both outstanding in the track field. These 12 boys lettered in track for 1960: Back Row: Ted Funk, Dave Druse, Dennis Anderson, Mark Berg, Pat Christo- pherson, Jake Schlicht. Front Row: Jerry Jenssen, Tom Ball, Tom Carver, Joe Dankey, Jim Carver,Larry Maakstad. mile relay: Dave Druse, K Dennis Anderson,Mark Berg and Jake Schlicht. The two coaches meet with two of their track boys, Jake and Mark,after tying for second place with Alpena in the Con- ference track meet. Star track runner Jake Schlicht is shown in ac- tion as he crosses the finish line. He finished an undefeated season in the mile run by bringing home two gold medals from the state track meet.

After the championship game which made Woonsocket the District 21 champs the victors give a whoop in the locker rooms for the camera man. 8 T H R I L Grim faces reflect the sober atmosphere during the District Tournament's last game. The trophy is held to view by Jim Beddow amid the noise and confusion of the basketball champions of District 21. Is it a hit or a miss?
