KI YI DAY The seventh annual Ki-Yi Day was held on Friday, October 10. Princess Nancy Dechow and Chief Keith Moe reigned over the event as Homecoming Royalty. The coronation ceremony took place on Thursday even- ing preceding the pep rally and snake dance. Joyce Flanders, Princess of 1957, returned to place headbands on the royalty, and Wayne Gutzmer, Master of ceremonies, presented gifts to the Homecoming Chief and Princess. The Ki-Yi Day parade, lead by Princess Nancy and Chief Keith, took place at one o'clock Friday followed by a football game in which the Redmen met defeat at the hands of the Onida Warriors. Mr. H. Knigge officiated as host at the banquet in the evening. Coach McElroy presented the team and then the cheerleaders lead everyone in singing the school song. The boys' quartet, Sandra Kringen, Nancy Dechow, Karen Ball, and Joan Brewster furnished the entertainment at the ban- quet. The big event ended with the homecoming dance in the evening for which Don Warren's orchestra played.

CARNIVAL ROYALTY KING JIM QUEEN KAY The annual Woonsocket High School Carnival was held at the City Auditorium, on Friday evening February 20, 1959. Activities began with the participation in games and fun at the various booths previously set up. The culmination of events was high-lighted with the crowning of the sophomore candidates for King and Queen. These honors were attained by hard work and fair play, and were especially attractive to King Jim and Queen Kaye, two most deserving classmates. Attendants were juniors Carolyn Paulson and Mark Berg; seniors Janice Hansen and Tom Jenssen. Barbara White and Carl Kappel were crown bearers. The Queen was pre- sented a lovely bouquet, and each received a gift.
