INTRODUCING . .
As The leaves of our book unfold to you, and you tarry in our midst, we
seniors introduce ourselves as the individuals who are Woodward.
Perhaps we should pause and explain The theme of our book to you,
"Dare to Be Different." It is This motif which pervades The pages. We
have selected This theme for we are daring To be different in that we feel
strongly our position and duty to The world in which we live. We must
be different in attitudes and ideals if we are going To face life and cope
effectively with its immutable problems, We must be different or we
will fall into a stereotyped way of life which we cannot afford to do
in this l95L1 and the years to come. Much is expected from us and we
expect to give fully. We are able people and it is as it should be that
we are chosen to meet the demands of The busy world.
We dare to be different in that we take the banner and hold it high
regardless of whether duty is questioned or our rights challenged. We
are being dared to do This every day in every way.
