DEDICATION On the morning of September 18, 1965, the Boomer B” Team boarded an activity bus and left forTexhoma. A B” game was scheduled for that afternoon. However, the bus never made it to Texhoma. It was struck by a car and wrecked 34 miles out of Woodward. One member of the team, Gary Rottmayer, was killed. Gary was a polio victim since childhood, but you couldn’t say that he was handicapped. He had played football in junior high. He was an Eagle Scout. He had played in the band. In his Freshman year he received the Rotary Club Citizenship Award. Gary was known by many. Everyone who ever met him liked him. He had the sort of friend-winning personality that everyone remembers. And certainly, he will never be forgotten by anyone who knew him. To this boy, who was a Boomer in the true sense of the word, this sports section is dedicated. WOODWARD BOOMERS • » FRONT ROW: D. Solloway. J. Young, J. Lack, T. Shutts, D. Ham, B. White, M.
