STOP away: A break in tradition found the students of Wilson at Glendale High on Friday night for the annual Spirit Contest instead of Thursday. The Basketball Carnival was a smashing success as always. The 7th and 8th graders battled on the courts as all grade levels cheered wildly in an effort to score the most spirit points possible. During half time, the cheerleaders were seen performing their original and energet- ic routines, but the main event of the evening was the 9th grade all-stars against the infamous faculty. At. one point, the faculty was ahead by 10 points, but the 9th grade fought to bring the final score to a much closer 56-62. The victory going to the faculty. .- s the faculty ages, next year could be a different story. All he needs is a tutu. 65
