Dedication To Our Faculty Thank God For all our teachers They have a tale to tell For while their being driven mad They're holding up quite well. The counselors prove that they are wise By giving us their advice. Mr. Poindexter guards the hall. The kids that are short, The kids that are tall, Whether they're large, Medium, or small, He keeps them out, One and all! Directing this busy show lsn't an easy iob, you know. With honest sweat upon his brow Mr. Williams has lots of know-how. He can always keep his calm Or teach us lessons with his palm. He really knows how to run this school. Yes, Mr. Williams is really cool! What with teachers, counselors and Fri School is where our iourney begins. This is where we pave the way So we may achieve our goals someday. Some of us shall reachithat height Even though others may not quite. And as our treasured goal appears, We shall remember our Wilson years. Elesha Reed 1 0 ends, I l 3

The obiect of education is not manpower but manhood. The person who is truly educated, rather than narrowly trained, is ready for anything. As Hutchins stated, Man has developed his human power and is able to use them and his understanding of the world to meet any new problem he has to face. He is pre- pared by his education to go on with his learning. I humbly dedicate the Statesman to staff members who organize their educational efforts with an eye toward the future.
