SCHOOL COUNCIL OFFICERS Back row: Mark Walker Sergeant-at-Arms Mike Eslick Parliamentarian Clifford Hess Treasurer Front row: H Mary Semones Secretary Steve Richert President Gerry Phillips Vice President School Council The School Council, composed of elected representatives from each homeroom, serves as a repre- sentative Congress. The members gain experience in thinking through problems and following through in carrying out decisions. They develop a feeling of responsibility to the whole school and learn to take this responsibility seriously and intelligently. These students learn to recognize the rights of citizens, develop leadership attributes, and become willing to follow the leadership of others. The outstanding activities of the council this year were: Teacher Appreciation Day, School Council Post office, Faculty-Student Basketball Game, Christmas Door Decoration Contest, Christmas Toys for Tots, and Student Council-Red Cross Party.
