TREASURERS-lS'56l Lorraine Duke, and lW'56l Ann Scott handled the Student Body money very etiiciently during the past year. ,JI SECRETARIES-lS'56l Barbara Black, and lW'56I lucy Esparza proudly leave behind them a detailed rec- ord ot minutes for future reference. THIS YEAR the student government had one of the most successful semesters ever. Sponsor, Mr. Mehl- man, points out that students in this are the cream of the school. It is comprised of student body cab- inet officers, commissioners and outstanding stu- dents. Activities of this class are innumerable. They sponsor dances, handle all fund raising drives, hold the student elections, keep the scrapbook, and handbook, assist in Student Body ticket sales, dig up the talent for the talent assembly, and partici- pate in the carnival. The class also sends repre' sentatives to student councils of other schools. The dances were the Kickoff Capers, Sno-ball, Cotton- Tail-Capers, and the Hawaiian Dance which fea- tures a lei sale. This class tried to familiarize the students with their school and promoted good re- lationships between the students and faculty. The Student Government class also studies parliamen- tary law and all business is conducted with use of Parliamentary Procedure. Each day a different mem- ber of the class is president and gets a chance to get up in front of the class and lead the business for that day. lt's fun to get up in front of class. lt is a very valuable experience to all those who par- ticipate. , . - aw with the utmost skill and knowledge. 2 r .J I t zo, LETTERGIRL PRESIDENTS-lW'56I Pat Sharp, and lS'56l Carol Conzevoy were kept busy rendering their unlimited services to the school and community. STUDENT BODY PRESIDENTS W'56, Jim Johnson, S'56, Janis Ong completed a year that made history. Under their exceptionally fine leadership, student participation in activities and school spirit increased tremendously. During the year this great spirit never decreased. The students gave their support to activities such as the cake walk and noon dances, which enabled the school to have better dance bands and purchase a iuke box. Mr. Mehlman, Sponsor of Leadership Activities and Stu dent Government, is pictured with the very capable vice presidents of the student body. A REGULAR CLASS LY in Leadership. 58 MEMBERS listen to a committee report. if THE LEADERSHIP CLASS here at Muleville has a four-fold purpose. They try to improve the individual's character, personality, leadership abilities, and to increase their knowledge and appreciation of our school. Many strides forward have been made since Mr. Mehlman, sponsor, has taken over. The class is highly organized, and they ac- complish a great deal of service during each semester. By developing the individual's leadership capabilities through work in oral presenta- tion, committee work, and written reports, Wilson is assured of an efticient student government. LEADERSHIP CLASS promotes democratic voting.
