After mounting the buttons, the iuniors increased their historic knowledge by studying composition and origin under the direction of Mrs. Valentine, sponsor, and President Emma Jean Seward. Mrs. Young, sponsor, has given much aid in making the organization not only fun but educational as well. All productions are written, directed, and acted out by the students. The club displayed its talent in a skit at the Keep Wilson Beautiful campaign assembly, and produced a bneeact play for junior highs. Under the careful guidance of history teacher, Mr. Berger, this club of seventy members proved to be the iuniors' most educational activity outside of the classroom. Knowledge of American history is used as part ofthe qualifications for the organization. STANDING: Mary Lee Garbo, Barbara Ditzler, Nileen Carrier, Rachel Garcia, Pete Zenzola, Celia Selby, Bob Smitson, Judy Kileen, Annette Le Croix, Jo Dimel, Sheila Doane. The seventh annual Fashion Show and the third annual Nlotorcade were among the many program highlights of l955. The Fashion Show, with Queen Carol Alnett reigning surrounded by her prin- cesses, was most interesting and stimulating to design and fashion conscious girls. Carol literally radi- ated elegance in the white tulle and lace formal she designed under Mrs. Nlarie Ronalds expert direc- tion. All 250 girls modeling clothes in the show made their garments.
