Aiming to create, maintain, and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian character is the organized goal. The annual California Scholarship Federation convention at U.C.L.A. opened the path to many guided tours at the university and acquainted Wilson scholars with those from all over the state. Interesting guest speakers gave profound and timely talks to the knowledge-hungry pupils. An honor plaque system was inagurated by the summer officers' board with Bill Jones, as president. This year's Lettermen's Club, led by Clarence CMoosel Merriman, winter president, and James Johnson, summer president, brought back noon dances to Wilson and promoted a successful clean campus campaign. Sponsored by Mr. Bill Samarin, their many events on and off the training grounds proved most worthwhile.
