ENCOURAGEMENT-Coach Carl Cain talks over C team possibilities with Dean Har- rier, captain. C BASKETBALL-ROW 'l: D. Bernal, F. Garcia, D. Harrier, D. Fouts, D. Ifill. ROW 2: K. Potter, C. Scott, B. Haug, R. Meiia, G. Frank, W. Bakke. ?f 2 Beautiful shotmaking. Fine coaching. Excellent plays. These were the comments as the Mule casaba players toured the Polar Loop. WA record of eight wins and two defeats is proof of the quality of the almost invincible varsity five. This well rounded team was stopped by only one foe, Poly, which was rated one of the top high school outfits in the nation. Coach Settle put on the floor a team excelling in all departments. It had speed and good shots in boys like Raymond and Graybill, height in Olivas, and defense in Jones and Hamlin. The squad was laden with reserves. Good boys like Lapiner,'Henry, and Cameron were always ready on the sidelines. All hail the new champs, the B basketball team! The Jayvee players showed their heels to the rest of the league with their professional-like play. Sparked by Britt and Cantos, the squad gave no doubt as to who should be crowned the season's champs. The B casaba men were exceptional on the basis of their showing in the second round of play, when they topped all comers. Instrumental in copping the crown for Wilson were Schiada, deadly lefthander, Shinerock, ballhandler su- preme, and Johnson, rebounding demon. C8.D The Mule mighty mites showed up nicely this season with the C's making an acceptable record of five wins and five losses and the D's boasting an eight win, two defeat accomplishment. Sparking the C's were such outstanding casaba artists as Captain Harrier, fighting guard, Foutz, high point man, and Garcia, hook shot specialist. The almost champion D's, like their big brothers, the varsity, lost only twice to Poly. Coach Carl Cain is rightly proud of such fine D players as Holt, Gelalich, Nye, Baltz, and high point man Stanley. D BASKETBALL-ROW 'l: D, Stapp, G. Fetterhoff, S. Alt, K. Smith. ROW 2: l.. Baltz, C.
