S. EDITOR-Efficiently turning out one of the best papers Wilson has yet to see was Mort Zebrack, our handsome Summer editor-in-chief. A mule train entered a mining camp amid much excitement, for the miners were anxious to read the newspapers it brought. Each Friday citizens of Muleville awaited the Hitching Post, Wilson's newspaper, to learn the latest news, views and gossip, but little did they realize the work involved in turning out those four pages. Before each issue reached its readers, the HP staff and print crew went through a hectic week of reporting and editing. Fall, 1949, saw a new system of alternating staffs successfully tried.
