We have side-stepped a bit the conventionally formal theme of the past to adopt something more informal. In using the theme of the Red Yarn and sketches of Willie and Wilma we show you in a new and fwe hopej stunningly different way the life of a typical Wildcat. We should like to express our thanks to all who have helped in producing this year's Crusader: Misses Wilkins, Downs, and Lowrey, Mesdames Francis Cand assistants Coker and Ablesj, Harrison, and Hayes, fand Mrs. Hayes' typing studentsj, Messrs. Ashburn and Cates. Several students not on our staff have contributed generously of their time and talents. Among these are Billie Fraelich and Dollie Gregg, artists, and G. H. Bergstrom, Doug Stocks, and Jack Morris, student photographers, who gave us much photography at bare cost. Jere Cox and the Times-Herald artists con- tributed valuable service. To all, all who have had even the least part, and that includes every one of you, in helping to produce this book, we give you our sincerest thanks. Now, we hope you will enioy reading and looking at the 1949 Crusader as much as we enioyed the making of it. THE STAFF s R, A, 9913 1 . ifgkfxjfi -QQ. m 'QE s Sxivii if ' Q .
