Levisay, the rifle team boasts of the City Gallery Championship, which accom- plishment places them best among the seven Greater Dallas high schools, 4th Army Championship, which they gained in a contest among R.O.T.C. units from five states, second place in the city shoulder-to-shoulder match, the Civitan Trophy for outstanding marksmanship of Greater Dallas R.O.T.C. for T947-48, and third place in the rifle match held at N. T. A. C., a contest among twenty- three teams from all parts of Texas. Of the twenty best shots in Dallas, seven are Woodrow Wilson students. These boys, Wynant Wilson, Harris Dick, Don Williford, Alan Rutherford, Bryan Vicars, Ross Bruce, and Billy Underwood, were given medals in early May by the Reserve Officers Association and also were given letter sweaters by Colonel R.
