Pbnlu by Hall-Gentry CEETCEHS Wnnllruw Wilsnu DHIIS, lfluh Prlasidenfs Message In all probability there never was a greater responsibility on the Youth than there is today. And this is a word of ad- monishment to iteface the future with courage: the courage of right thinking, courage of conviction, courage that makes one stand when all about have fallen or run away, the courage that God intended when He created man in His own image and after His own likeness. This courage is not the brute kind, so common in animals, savages, the gun- toting outlaw, and some European lead- ers: that brand of courage is born of fear. The courage of an American has its foundation upon spiritual concept and is substantiated by the stamina of righteous- ness. For right is right, since God is Cod, And right the day must wing To doubt would be disloyaltyg To falter would be sin. May God's richest blessings be yours. FRANK B. BUEPO. . . President . . Wnudrnw Wilsnll Parent-Teacher Assnnialinn Presidents Message Again the eyes ot the world are turned on the American youth. Again youth must save the old, the very young, and even a world yet to be. Yes, youth must take this old, wrecked world and clear away the debris, and sal- vage the framework ot civilization. Youth, who had no part in the destruction of peace, marches up now to the throne oi democracy and lays upon it a lite more precious than all earth's goldfa sacrifice too great to eulogize, and tor which eter- nity alone can repay. The mature have sown this world in seeds from Satan's own granary, and youth must take the scythe and cut down or crop of bitter weeds, and burn the sheaves, and destroy the seed. lt is youth who will coun- teract the iatetul poison in the cup ot Hitler- ism, by pouring into it their courage, their strength, their good old American grit, and in a little while will offer to a trembling, tearful world a drink filled with lite-giving vitamins. Oh, youth, did you not come into the world for such a time as this? Sincerely MRS. CHARLES A. FANNING. Mrs C. A. Fanning . Mrs B. L. Vining . . Mrs M. F. Leavell . Mrs A. A. Buschman Mrs R. F.
