The Road to Knighthood Eaeh person must travel his own road of life. He must learn through experienceg he must grow. The students who attend Woodlawn High School will at one time all travel down the same road. They will fol- low the road to Knighthood, meeting many people, ex- perieneing new things, and increasing their knowledge. Hopefullyfeach person will grow. The road to Knighthood begins on that first frantical- ly exeiting day when the freshmen arrive at Woodlawn. It is not long afterwards until they come face to face at a pep rally with the spirit and pride of WHS. They he- eome aware of that overwhelming spirit which has the power lo send chills up and down oneis spine. Spirit and pride are certainly characteristic of Wood- lawn, hut it is prohahle that most people on the road to Knighthood will experience many other feelings such as happiness, excitement, anxiety, unity, serenity, and yes, maybe even agony. Feelings such as these help a person to grow and can enable him to discover his own identity. For seniors the end oftheiroad to Knighthood is very near. Graduation is the final step that will conclude their journey. lt is the reality of the attainment of past goals and the aspirations of future conquests. Gradua- tion is an event which links the road to Knighthood with the thoroughfare of life.
