I DEDICATION When he came to Woodbury High School in 1963, We, as underclassmen looked up to him as a unique teacher. Many of us were awed by him, and yet anxiously awaited our arrival into his classroom. Finally, as upperclassmen, we were con- fronted with sciences introduced in a com- paratively distinctive manner. We acquired a personal friend in whom we could confide, and who offered both advice and assurance. He taught us to be aware of the community and surrounding world and gave us insight into the future, to aid and prepare us for adulthood. Because he has become a friend to each individual, a competent advisor, and a dedi- cated teacher, we, the Class of 1968, dedicate the 1968 WARRIOR to MR. EDMOND LOYOT

To: GRADUATING CLASS OF 1968 I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate you, the Class of 1968, upon your graduation from Woodbury High School. The education you were offered at Woodbury was intended to prepare you for a future which is unknown, occurring in a present which you perceive differently from us, based upon a past you do not remember. The most prevalent concept of learning involves what Plato observed to be that peculiar human habit of learning by going from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Thus, the present is not under- stood until it has passed. To quote Marshall McLuhan, "People never see their environments. They never know them. They always know the preceding one." What was experienced here at Wood- bury may not become real to you until later when you see it in retrospect. To those of you who are using your Woodbury experience as a basis for future education, we hope that we have provided you with adequate stepping stones. To those of you who are entering the world of business, we hope that we have given you an under- standing of the importance of information and knowledge, for whatever your vocation, it will be necessary for you to learn an- other within a very short time. We wish you good luck, good fortune, and God speed! Sincerely, Theodore Martland Superinlendenl of Srbooli BOARD OF EDUCATION Sealed lefl to right: Mrs, Frances Calhoun, Dr. Charles Rehkamp Dr Theodore Martland Mrs Virginia Palmer. Standing left lo rigbz: Mr. Robert Cowles Mr Leonard Petruzzi Mr Henry Hart Mr. Richad Michaels, Mr. Vincent P. Weber, Mr. Ronald McEvoy
