All plans for school activities are taken to the Stu- dent Council. Here they are discussed and the better plans are quite often put into effect. Student Council sees to the distribution of student bodyfunds. The class representatives, elected each fall by their own class members, are the go-betweens, between the class and the Student Council. The Student Council promotes Home- coming and Parents Day. lt also assists the G.A.A. with the Valentine Dance. Along with these school activities it is also an active member of the Capitol Con- ference Council. Student body elections are conducted by the Student Council. All student body officers must be in the top half of their class and the President and Vice Pres- ident must be in the senior class during the year they serve. For the i956-57 school year the Student Council put out a Student Hand- book. This handbook came in very handy for all those in school. ln the handbook are listed the maior rules of the school, all special activities, names of teachers and their subjects, and favorite songs and yells of the school. The last event of the school year is the annual school picnic. This is the finale of a year of hard work by the Stu- dent Council and they do all they can to make it a big celebration.
