G1rls Ath1et1cs Our glrls have always partxclpated whole heartedly m all sports at Elmer Wolfe In our freshmtn year s:.ve al of us tried out for the team but we wcle not too suc ce sful Nevertheless we obtamed some polrters that have proven valuable thloughout our hlgh school sports career Upon entermg our Sophomore year we started practxclng for fieldball Luckxly sev era of us made the team whlch was consldered to be quite an honor Next came basket Our Jumor year created more mterest m sports Fxrst there was a change fxom Held a to speedball whlch IS a more xnterestmg game Also we have mter scholastic games We came out second ln these games losmg to the Semors of 1951 Our Senlor year was somewhat of a dlsappolntment because even though we st1ll played speedball we learned that LH basketball we could play each team ln the county only once We had prevlously played e ch team twlce Nevertheless we managed to end the exson ln thlrd place havlng 1 record of thxec wlns and thlee losses l ,,,M . , . 1 y . , . 1 4 ball and again we were fortunate enough to make this team also. b ll , ' ' ' ' . , ' A - ' .
