Even as it takes years to grow a giant tree, it requires time and experience for the body to show forth the impact of the soul. These revered and esteemed gentlemen have indeed grown in grace and in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord. To them, with our grateful tribute, we dedi- cate this book. There is no way to measure the profound influ- ence of the lives of our professors emeritus on the men of Wofford College — yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
