IF you lUflRT fl The BOHEMIAN of 1941 is an ex- pression of life at Wofford. Full of activity, both scholastic and extra- curricular, sober and exciting, stu- dent life moves on to a definite goal, — a college degree. • In the variety of interests and activities, the pages of this yearbook will em- phasize how many things engage the attention of a student on the Wofford Campus in 1 94 1 . The sim- plicities of the older ways of stu- dent life have yielded to a compli- cated, many-colored pattern, and the great process called education is made up of more kinds of in- fluence than ever before. • Presi- dent Woodrow Wilson, when he was at Princeton, used to say that college life is not in the class room m%n mm you but outside on the campus. How- ever, at Wofford, there is still life in the class room, and there will al- ways be life as long as there are two minds really at work, the mind of a good teacher and the mind of a good student. In certain dormi- tory rooms, in the class rooms, in library and laboratory, there are eager minds questing as of old for the real truth of things. Yes, the flame of the spirit still burns with enduring brightness. • In present- ing this printed and pictorial rec- ord, it has been our purpose to depict student life at Wofford College informally and vividly and to recreate for you incidents and associations which have made this school year a happy one.
