R ♦ D In any vocation or field of endeavor can be found wofford men who are doing their tasks efficiently and unselfishly. lawyers, doctors, clergymen, teachers, statesmen they figure prominently in all of these. but it is not only the prominent whom we wish to recognize. the alumnus in the most humble position is giving his best and upholding the honor and tradition of his alma mater, even as the more prominent. may wofford college long continue to send out these noble men to be of service to their fellow- MAN.

F O R E In this twenty-ninth volume of The Bohemian, we have chosen a theme to pay tribute to the great number of wofford alumni who are scat- tered over this nation leading lives that benefit and enrich their various communities. not being able to recognize each individual, we have selected six of the most prominent to exemplify the whole. great has been the service of these men who show by their noble characters and meritorious careers that they are still following the ideals and principles instilled in them at their alma MATER.
