We, me members of the class J £ ! ' class of T069, in re-li ing our higfel chool nays, recall particularly one of the Woburn High School Staff. It has been this person’s task to enable each student to realize his maximum academic potential and to assure that the proper behavior of maturing young adults be main¬ tained within our school. Difficult though this task may seem, this man has succeeded in his role as student adviser and disciplinarian, while gaining the respect and admiration of the student body as a trusting friend and generous human being. His varied contacts with high school students have enabled him to better understand certain qualities necessary for the development of a well-rounded and well-disciplined student. As a teacher, he has rec¬ ognized the need for the training of the mind and the acquisition of knowledge in preparing the stu¬ dent for adjustment to society and occupational pursuit after graduation. As a former head coach of successful football teams, he has been able to appreciate the need for physical development, positive thinking, self-discipline, and spirited competition as plus factors in the attainment of one’s goals. In his role as an administrator, this man has shown his ability to communicate purposefully with teacher, par¬ ent, and student, thus maintaining a degree of harmony and good will in our community. It is this man’s distinction to be well-acquainted with many students on a most informal level. His understanding of and his willingness to advise such students have revealed his compassion as well as his competency as a leader and an educator. In future days, as we recall the past and the many events and individuals who have best influenced our lives, we are certain to count you among them . . . MR. JAMFS F. BRENNAN 16
