Through this door We take you to a group of rooms in the basement of the Administration Building, Where the publications offices can be found. Finding the staffs proves to be a little more diflicult, however. Busy at Work We see the fohmoniam stall, the TATLER staff, and the Journal stall.

.It Happens Every Week Putting out The Jofmfonian is almost a full-time job. Typewriters begin humming on Mondays in the Tl ofhce as features and columns are made ready for the press. All during the week the editor and stooges gather and begin pounding out copy as the news of the week unfolds. Monday night and Tuesday are occupied with re-writing, cussing, and heading-up the stories of sophomore and freshman reporters. On Wednesday the paper is dashed off to the printers, and the printers evenly divide the typographical errors between the editorial and society pages. The Jofmfonian makes its appearance under dorm doors each week- much to the delight of every Winthrop girl. During first semester, Pat Shackelford was editor-in- chief, and Lucy Floyd was managing editor. As usual, there was a change in the editorial staff second semesterf Floyd stepped up to take the job of editor, and Alice Ray became managing editor. Throughout the year, Lura Jane Turner was business manager. Other staff members were associate editors Deane Rast Risher, Frances Cook and Jo Anne Montague. Iris Simpson was first semester Departmental Editor and Sammie Bowen was Society Editor. Iris moved to Society Editor second semester, while Harriet Ann Floyd took over her job.
