Daughter tries to make Mama feel at home and acquaint her with the newest number of nights out when she comes up for Mother- Daughterv week-end. Not every fairest flower of the Southland gets to play hostess to Mother, however. Only the granddaughters, those girls whose mothers came to Winthrop, can celebrate the annual week-end. You are auto- matically a member of the Granddaughters' Club if your mother is a Winthrop Alumnae. Old members and new members roast their toes I in front of the fireplace at the shack every year, listen to speeches, and help run the campus in general. The oHicers of the club are: Eugenia Burnett, President, Barbara Berry, Vice-President, Betty Gambrell, Secrezaryg Ann Rogers, Treas- urer, and Gladys Maud Keller, Social Chairman, Miss Ruth M. Williams, Chairman. THE PICNICKERS DIVE EAGERLY INTO MISS THRELKELDS FRIED A BREEZY AFTERNOON, BUT.THE GRANDDAUGHTERS DON'T SEEM CHICKEN. TO MIND. I5
