Vice-President Senior MQW'ZOT7.QS Impossible as it may seem, the members of our class were once the babies of this school. That was six years ago to be exact, but it really doesn't seem that long since we entered as excited seventh graders. Our splendid auditorium was still in the making, and one could get a very good view of all operations from Miss Lyle's English class. Christmas of that year was a memorable event. With bated breath and a feeling almost of rever- ence, we entered the new auditorium for the first time. Why the Chimes Rang was presented then. When we were in the eighth grade we felt a little more grown up and had the pleasure of looking down upon the new seventh grade. That year was quite a happy and uneventful one. Upon entering the ninth grade, we really considered ourselves practically adults. We were en- countering Latin and Algebra for the first tirne. The tenth grade brought us a new experienceethat of giving our first dance. VVe worked hard and everyone seemed to enioy it immensely. From the beginning of our junior year, the responsibilities of high school life fell upon us more heavily. We started at the first of the year to make money for the prom. The prom committee decided upon a South American theme with red, green, and yellow for colors. There was a deluge of crepe paper and balloons carrying out the color scheme, and even the meal consisted of those colors. We had a wonderful time, we were told that our prom was one of the best given in eight years. Our senior year brought plans for the annual. The staff immediately set to work finding ways in which to improve over last year's anrlual. The T942 Towayam is the best ever to be published in W. P. H. S. We are proud to have been able to carry on the tradition of publishing a yearbook, even though many difficulties faced us. Our years at this school have been, for the most part, enjoyable.
