RESULTS OF GAMES WINTER PARK -IS LYMAN-O W.P.H,S. opened its 19.49 season with a triumph over Lyman. Although Winter Park held the lead through the game. l.yman's scrappy team fought until the last whistle. WINTER PARK--6 ST. t'l.Ol7D--ll Although the boys lost. they made a good showing. The XYildcats went on the field with the determination to win, but they proved to be no match for the powerful St. Cloud team, However they went down fighting in a hard. sportsman like game. WINTER PARK--7 COCOA-T lioth teams seemed to be off their usual stride and made the game slow during the first half. but in the last half there was some real football. The result being that the game ended in a T-7 tie. WINTER PARK-o DELAND-0 Winter Park rooters were kept a little worried for a while, Del.and put up a hard fight but the Wildcats came through and proved to be their equal. WINTER PARK-O KISSIMMEE-.il Kissimmee was too strong for Winter Park. For while their running game was going strong. due to the rain, Winter Park's aerial game was off, The boys played a hard fought game. WINTER PARK--is OCUI-Ili 7 6 This game was what you would call a thriller, Win- ter Park was at its best, and its best was good enough to stop Ocoee colrl. There was some wild yelling when the winning touchdown was put over in the last period. WINTER PARK--0 'l'l'l'l'SX'll,l.li-'O Things looked bad for a while, because the team went on the field over-confident. illllls resulted in a O-O tie. WINTER PARK .43 WINTER GARDEN -7 This was the first victory won by the Wildcats over Winter Garden in 12 years. Although Winter Garden was heavier they proved to be sluggish compared with the fast working team of W, P. H, S. WINTER PARK---.So APOPKA- -6 The Hluedarters came over with the determination to carry home the honors. but Winter Park. scoring in the early period of the game. seemed to tear down their hopes: and from then on the game ran to Winter Parks favor.
