 WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS The Winslow Fightin' Bulldogs had good reason to develop big heads because both the girls and boys varsity basketball teams successfully captured the AA state championship this year. This is the first year the girls have taken the state title, defeating the Gilbert team 58-54 in a very close game. The boys, for the first time in 15 years, beat their opponent. Corona del Sol. with a score of 70-64 to become the state champions. The basket-ballteams were not our only state champions this year. Craig Freeman took the state wrestling championship in his weight class for the second consecutive year.
