78 METEOR IS DEDICATED TO MR. JAKE MAGALLANEZ The staff chose to dedicate the '78 meteor to Mr. Jake Magallanez. Mr. Jake, as he is called by some of his sttjdents, attended NAU where he received his teacher's certificate, his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and his Master of Arts in Business Education. He has been with WHS five years and in that time has sponsored FBLA and Jr. Lulac, and has coached the JV and eighth grade football teams. Also he is one of the sponsors for the class of '79. Outside the high school he has just finished his fifth year as the coach of the amateur boxing team in town. He also coached boxing at NAU for five years. He used to box himself, both amateur and pro. He is the president of the Winslow Lulac council and used to be a member of Kiwanis. We, the Meteor staff of 1978, salute Mr. Magallanez for a job well done. »4J
