Mgr. 4. CLASS OFFICERS OF 78 The class of '78 started out with a bang by wanning first place with its float in the Homecoming Parade. This was the third year in a row that the class float won first. The class was also voted to have the best school spirit. The class candidates for Christmas Royalty were Jeanne Hayduckovich and Eddie Kirkland who placed fourth. The class then made a comeback by taking first in the Christmas chain contest with a paper chain that went all the way around the block and overlapped. This year's seniors raised $1,938. 74 to meet the year's expenses after starting cut the year with only $122.00. They continued the four year tradition of going to Big Surf for senior Ditch Day.

Class Day, which was held on May 18, included reading of wills and prophecies and die class poem written by Don Summersgill. The traditional key was presented to Chuck Thomack by Don Summcrsg’ll. Chila Jackson read her class prayer. Skits parodying the staff were David Guzman depicting Mr. Reynolds, TessO'Haco as Mrs. Zeiger, Bill Herron as Mrs. McAuley, and Don Summersgill as Miss Dubuy. 8
