ANNUAL KING AND QUEEN Annual King and Queen are elected by the annual staff each year. The honor goes to two seniors who have worked unusually hard to support their class and assist at club activities during their four years at W.H.S. Carol Ann Plese and Mike Falling were chosen as Annual King and Queen for 1974-75 because they helped collect cans for Miss Merry Christmas, and they always worked on their class floats. They attended club meetings and served on many committees including the senior banquet committee, Junior Prom committee and were always reliable and willing workers. 28

BOYS AND GIRLS STATE I mm e Six students attended Arizona's Boys and Girls State held during the summer of 1974 at N.A.U. and U. of A. Steve De Angelis, Jim Summersgill, Frank Jue and Dennis Peters attended sessions held at N.A.U. from June 6 to June 13. Theresa Guzman and Marcia Wilhoite attended U. of A. The Boys and Girls State Programs are studies in the working American Government and the two-party system. A major portion of the workshop dealt with the elections on the local, district, and state level. 30
