 Nt KEY CLUB Key Club is a service club. It sponsored several community and school projects. A very successful dance was held in January} the club also sold candy as a money-making project. The 1973-74 officers were: president, Gale Soehner; vice-president, Wayne Taylor; .treasurer, Dewey Jackson, and Bobby Estudillo was secretary. Key Club's most notable activity of the year was a benefit football game, which was held for the Humane Society. The two teams playing were Key Club and S Club. (The game ended in a tie.) There are approximately 30 members in Key Club, and the sponsor is Mr.Gary Calhoun. For positive identification of Key Clubbers, look for fellows in blue vests ringing an old bell. W CLUB M.A.S.O. W Club is an organization for WHS lettermen. The sponsors for the 1973-74 year were Mr. C. Hysong and Mr. Artie Griffith. The year's goal was to earn money to go towards the construction of an industrial arts building near the campus. Funds were obtained from the sale of raffle tickets and candy. Time will tell whether the attempt is successful or not. The Mexican-American Club is one of the newest organizations on the WHS campus. Mr. Jake Magallanez, a new teacher, introduced it. As club projects, M.A.S O. entered a car in the Homecoming parade and placed fourth. The club also sponsored a turkey raffle and a Mexican-style dance which was very successful. ABOVE are 16 of the almost 30 students in the club. The organization's president was Frances Gonzales, and Sandra Lopez was student council representative.
