Happening in Athletics One of the most common places to see people happening is at the various athletic groups available around school. They bring people together to learn how to work together to achieve a goal. Not only do members go to various places on trips, but they also bring spirit to their school by participating in these groups. The crowds are usually excited about their performance, especially when competition is very close.

What is high school graduation? Graduation is a memory held forever by those who have graduated. But what does it really mean? It is a group of parents and their children who are graduating, singing the school's Alma Mater. It is a mother crying, because her baby isn't a baby anymore. It is a joyful boy who can finally leave home and go out on his own. It is a group of ex-students remembering the fun that they used to have when they were kids in high school. It's a girl crying, because her boyfriend is going off to the Navy. Graduation is this and more to the graduate, but what does it mean to the undergraduate? To one it may be an assembly he can ditch. It may be a lot of long boring speeches during the hottest day and night of the year. The possibilities are great. But the most important ideas has come only to a few under-graduates. The idea is eerie to say the least. It is imagining that soon the person standing there in the square cap and the choir gown will be you. One day the open door will close you out of all the good times that you had while you were in high school. The only way you will have to go is forward, and you must make your destiny then. No one will be able to make it for you. You will have a lifetime ahead of all your past good-old-days. You won't be able to go back. It isn't quite as treacherous as it sounds. Rather, it will ever embark upon. So, if you ever wondered what graduation means to a senior during his last days of high school, it can't be spoken or written down on paper. No, it’s a feeling that comes to your soul, that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Richard Douglas gave his address on, Today's Youth in a World of Change.
