SENIOR CLASS HISTORY, Cwzrimzed Announcement: Donald I-Iolzinger, Bette McLaughlin, Eleanor Miller, Frank Berg, Memorial: Mary Fehring, Helen Roth, Betty Ross, Phyllis Westmang Social: William Finkelnburg, Marjorie Smith, Albert White, Diana Osborneg Class Day: John Stubstad, Earl Kinder, Norma Krenzke, Madeline Couche, Audrey Ames, Marion McCarthy, Gilbert Courtier, Gretchen Grimm, and Billy Leonard, representing the booster committee, also helped in the class day arrangements. The motto of the class is Progress, The colors are rose, black, and silverg the flower is the sweet-pea. Norma Krenzke, Audrey Ames, Dolores Ciseska, Bernard Meier, Irvin Schildknecht, and james Nelson were senior members ofthe Student Teacher Council. William Finkelnburg, Ralph NNallace, john Stubstad, and Earl Kinder were members of the debating team. Bette McLaughlin placed first in the district deelamatory contest in the humorous division. Captain Carland Gaustad and live other members of the senior class were on the football team. Five seniors, captained by Allen Gaustad, were mem- bers of the basketball team. Swimming, track and golf teams each had three senior members. Fourteen senior boys and eighteen senior girls were in their respective glee clubs. Twenty-one seniors were active in other musical organizations. Eleanor Miller won the D. A. R. essay contest in the senior division. One hundred and eighty students, members ofthe class of '34, graduated june 14.
