WALKER, B.A., M.A. Superintendent K These members of the Winn Parish School Board, along with Mr. Eugene Garrett, deceased, have rendered a most important public service in the work of developing basic school policies. Their further concern with the endorsement of any and all efforts to improve our school system have been invaluable. Thus, in countless ways, they have given encouragement to the stu- dent in his quest for learning and good citizenship. Left: R. L. TERRY, B.A., M.A., Supervisor. Right: MARVIN WYATT, B.S. In future years, when you look back in your Salt Rock, I hope that it will serve to recall pleasant memories of your many experiences, and to reveal why all the extra subjects, new courses of study, and various activities were added for the enrichment of your school program. Your school has initiated many educational 'cfirstsi' during the last few years. These have been the result of much professional study by many people. I hope that your faculty will always try to attain the highest levels in their professional and academic work. The effectiveness of our school is seen not only in our graduates, but also in the dropouts. We have seen many of our students become successful doctors, teachers, business leaders, secretarial workers, preachers, and vocational specialists. We take special pride in saying that most of our future homemaking girls become successful homemakers. I hope that you will be able to say that your high school played a definite part in your life. It is certainly a pleasure to work with the nicest group of high school students in the state. Sincerely, Page 7
