There has been many talented students in school and each has had an opportunity to participate in the music field. The Senior Sextette and Trio have broadcast over radio station W.K.T.M. Mayfield several times. Their NHighlight BroadcastHwas a special program at Christmas consisting ofChristnas Carols and songs. Norma Jones, junior, was featured as soloist. The Music Club was organized for the students from the fifth through the twelfth grades. Its purpose isto encourage group singing, study composers, and have music contests. One main achievement this year was the remodeling of the music room. The Junior Glee Club consists of the studentsfrom the first through the fourth grades. They meet weekly to sing. The Junior Trio deesa excellent work in their singing. One of the main interests of the music students is the annual spring recital. The class, consisting of eight girls gave a var- iety program at the beginning of school to help buy their new Singer machine. They have high hope of receiving soon their new elec- tric machine which has been ordered.
