X! Now feeling as upper classmen we came into our Junior year with ho students under the sponsorship of Mr. Bill Kreisler. We have started a busy year preparing for the annual Junior-Senior class trip at the end of school. From the Junior Class Norma Jones and Betty Jo France were elected cheerleaders and our class will have a number of boys on the basketball team. Officers for the l9h9-SO term are Bill Vann, Presg John Via, Vice Presg Betty Jo France Sec. Q Treag and Agatha Bennett Reporter. We are very glad of having Agatha in our class as she is known for her tap-dancing. We gained a few new students this year whom we all welcomed. We must not forget Dean Johnson and Jimmy Russell who have been basketball managers for three straight years. We hope to do much in our Senior year as we know we will all hate to leave the halls of Ole Wingo High where we have had such happy days. We started our Freshman year with 33 iriproaring students. We were glad to have as our sponsor Mr. James Pickard. Officers for that year were Betty Ann Butram, Presidentg James Milton Clapp, Vice Presidentg Jean Smith, Secretary- Treasurerg and Peggy Russel, Reporter. lWe were happy of having Robby Prince on the basketball team that year. We entered our Sophomore year with L6 students. Having finished our Fresh- man year we were determined to settle down a little. Our officers for that year were James M. Clapp, President, Jean Smith, Vice President, Betty Jo France, Secretary-Treasurerg Agatha Bennett, Reporter. We were happy in- deed of having Mrs. Dennis Vaughn as our sponsor. In the basketball queen contest we were happy to have Norma Jones representing our class. We des- perately labored on a play in order to make money for our queen. Also that year two of our boys played basketball for the Wingo Indians. . i
