T. Johnson Sec. Q Treas. Yellow Rose Reporter Twelve years ago we started at various schools to delve in Readin', Ritein' and 'Rithmatic. We struggled through the usual trials and tribulations as elementary students. With all these experiences back of us, we finally entered Junior High School. We entered high school with Mr. Pickard as our sponsor. we were very proud to have Cona Fite as our cheerleader. A As Sophomores, Mrs. Vaughan was our sponsor. we got many laughs from our biology class which was enjoyed by everyone. We entered our Junior year with Mrs. Spillman as our sponsor. we made enough money for a nice trip to HLookout Mountains.H Our cheerleaders were Wanda Holland and Rose Burgess. Our class officers were: Carl Linder, Ana McNiell and Linda Sanderfer. we sponsored a play entitled, HLittle Miss Bobby Soxn. Jerry Barnes played the leading part. Our trio consists of Jean Austin, Marian Bridges, and Sue Brown. Now we are Seniors, Mrs. Waggoner as sponsor. Our class officers are: Marian Bridges, Carl Scoggins, and Jean Austin. Our cheerleader, Cona Fite, we have a Senior Sextet which consists of Cona Fite, Ama McNiell, Jean Austin, Linda Sanderfer, Marian Bridges, and Martha Brown. That brings us up to the present time. CLASS PROPHECY As we sitvhere dreaming of the future we decided to go over the names of our old classmates and see what each will be doing. Lets hop in our time machine and let the dial stop at the year 1960. The first one we see is JI WYE HOPKINS who has come a long way in the advertising field. JOE STEWART 'S dreams have at last come true as he is bafing home runs for the Yankees. PEGGY HIXON has finally left the folds of Bogey and is clicking her heels in the big city of Mayfield. CARL LINDER now draws sketches of his beautiful blond wife instead of the various figures he drew at NOle Wingon. MARTHA VIA is Wingo's most prominent citizen. Her profession is WOEIY barber. Wingo's first. BILLY GARDNER who is Water Valley's most eligible bachlor still specializes in driving keen cars loaded down with goodlooking women. Believe it or not little ROSE BURGESS has at last settled down to a quiet life of keeping House after giving up the hope of ever becoming a stenographer. JERRY BARNES is now doing her typing in 3 big office instead of the kitchen table at home. RANDEL COOK now owns his own Drive-Inn Theater and is doing quite well with it. CONA FITE is still keeping in-good shape at her job of Physical Education Teacher. LINDA SANDERFER still pulls those switches at the switch board. JOYCE FRANKLIN is now a HWaveH. Still trying to keep up with the Navy. J. T. JOHNSON now lives at the foot of Lookout Mountain making home Ev?-'Ovvns his own stil too. BETTYE THORPE is a registered nurse still trying to snag a doctor for a husband. DONALD JACKSON now owns his own farm of rich soil in the Blue Grass of Ole Kentucky. MARIAN BRIDGES is teaching school at her Alma Mater and doing a very fine job of it too. And that goodlooking BILLY HARRISON is still breaking hearts with that curly hair and Brown eyes. SUE BROWN now slings hash at the Blue Bore in Louisville. SHE has also had the luck of capturing a goodlooking guy. AMA MCNEIL has finished her music at Murray State and is trying-her luck at the Metro Politan. JEAN AUSTIN is attractive as ever and is now trying to make others the same in her job as beautician. CARL SCOGGINS has been doing fine as a preacher at his boyhood church. MARGARET ENOCH is driving a taxi at Wingo now. Old friends ride for half price. DEVOTA GRAY'S wonderful typing and shorthand has helped her tremendously in her job at the Merit. Our farmer of the class KENNETH RAMSEY has been very successful in his study of Agriculture. REBECCA GRAY who was the artist of her class is now doing fine as a designer for the Brooks Shoppe. JUNE BISHOP has left Kentucky for parts unknown. Hope she is doing fine. ANN LEGATE'S knack at sewing is coming in handy now that she Has to outfit seven kids. CHARLES ADAMS after finishing college has gone to work in Michigan while living with his brother. JANE SMITH is now manager of Newberrys. She has been working there since she was a Junior at Wingo. CATHERINE DISQUE now runs a Florist Shop in Mayfield. Pretty flowers for a sweet girl. VERA FIELDS loves her job as sales clerk at the Vanity. Now that we've had a glimspe of the future we must all return to our jobs here. we hope sincerly the class is as happy in their various places ten years from now as they appear to be at the present ' ,9 Jerzy and Peggy
