Charles Boykin O21 comes face to face with a Murrah Mustang. Junior quarterback Danny Lynn 1131 calls an important play against a tough Vicksburg defense. Falcons ever Give Central, Murrah, South Natchez, Vicksburg, Yazoo City Taking advantage of the enthusiasm created in the past week's win over Hill, the Falcons were confident as they faced the important game with the Central Tigers. Led by head coach Ennis Proctor the Falcons worked hard and received another big win, 24-6. Junior Danny Lynn was named player of the week. With four city victories and only one loss the Falcons were in the bid for City Champsv which had been a long time coming for the Falcon football team. They launched an overwhelming attack only to be stopped by the awesome Murrah defense, 4-1-9. Even though the Falcons had lost the chance for the City Championship, they still had hopes of a winning season. But this hope was not to be realized as they were handed a 7-36 beating by South Natchez. Bobby Hemphill and Mark Harris were named players of the week. Although the score showed a loss against Vicksburg it was a win in determination. The score of 3-37 does not show the courage the Falcons maintained throughout the game. Terry Seaton was named player of the week in this hard fought game. ln the final game of the year the Falcon fans and players wanted a win. The pep rally encouraged the Falcons to fight for a victory that would even the season. The Falcons fought hard in this the Seniors' last game, but were stopped by the Yazoo club 21-14. Senior Bobby Nolen was named player of the week. The Falcons ended with a 4--6-0 record. Even though this was not a winning season statistically on the field, it was a winning season as far as bringing the school together in spirit and unity.
