The 56-mem- her choir, directed by Mrs. Barbara Massey, performed for many organizations and clubs around the state. The Wanderers',, a folk group from the choir, made several television appearances and participated in Teens Against Polio, Having sponsored several fund-raising projects, the choir traveled to Washington, D.C., and New York, on a six-day tour in early May.

Band Deepens Appreciation For Music Stimulating an interest in classical music and pro- moting school spirit through lively marches, the Wing- field High School Band, under the capable leadership of Mr. Arthur Goodsell, began its second season. The Band has given several concerts for the benefit of our community and student body. For these per- formances, several of the Jackson junior high school bands were invited as participants. Representing Wingfield in the Greenwood Band Fes- tival, the John Bell Williams Inauguration Parade, the State Band Contest, all Falcon football games and on various other occasions, the band has certainly done its part in representing the blue-and-gold with out- standing performances. The students and Band Boosters Club sponsored a very successful spaghetti supper, which provided the band with adequate facilities and funds to carry on its excellent work.
