MAG Excites Mathematical Interest With a membership of a hundred sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the Mu Alpha Theta has had a busy year. The Wingfield Chapter of this nationwide honorary math club was sponsored by Mrs. Edna McKee. Grade qualifications of an overall B average with a Bu in math were imposed on members. The National Mathematics Examination and the monthly meetings kept members active. The meet- ings featured guest speakers and student prepared programs. . E JHS Becaptures I Moments In History Students of Wingfield who are interested in history and the heritage of their state find opportunities of additional study in their par- ticipation in the Junior Historical Society. Be- sides an active interest in history these stu- dents must have and maintain a B-average throughout the year. Serving as sponsor this year, Mrs. Mary Brooks worked with the officers in planning a successful and active year. Trips to various historical sites of the state were planned to provide better understanding of local history. Other projects were planned to help in the understanding of the national government. Now I know America's around here somewhere!
