ational Honor ociety En enders Scholastic Achievement Consisting of Wingfield students who have' main- tained a minimum B average throughout their high school curricula, the National Honor Society experienced another eventful year. This club encouraged its members to keep their high grades consistent by endowing them with an enthusiastic attitude toward learning. Sponsor of the club for this year was Mr. Bill Caston, who per- formed an outstanding job. The National Honor Society looks forward to another year of instilling students with a more acute awareness of their responsibilities to a potentially rewarding future. JCL Gives lnsight To Classical Rome One of the most active organizations at Wing- field is the Junior Classical League. Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Suttle, the JCL has under- taken several entertaining functions. Leading off the year was the annual slave auction, in which all new members were sold as slavesxto the other members of the JCL and the Facultyl The formal initiation took place in January for new members, followed by a reception for all members. A pizza party and the State Convention at Mississippi Col- lege were held in the spring.
