Science Encourages Exploration While striving to understand that which awed, Wingfield students sought to broaden their minds through the field of science. -To assist them with this conquest they were provided with some of the finest equipment as well as some of the most qualified teachers. Fine Arts Spice Academic Program Composing the fine arts program at Wingfield are art, choral music, band, and speech. Participating students are provided with special training and in- struction in the various fields. Under the capable direction of Mrs. Sims, talented art students learn to express themselves freely. Their Work is exhibited in several art showings throughout the year includ- ing the Arts Festival in the spring. Students with musical inclination enjoy the study of choral music directed by Mrs. Massey. The concert choir com- prised of selected members perform for group func- tions in and out of the state. For those interested in the instrumental aspects of the music program place special emphasis on the Falcon Band. Band Director, Mr. Arthur Goodsell, requires the needed ability and discipline from his band members to accomplish their first rate quality sound. The speech department actively devotes its time to the instruction of public speaking with ease. Students find fun in learning while composing and speaking under the instruction of Mrs. Rankin and Mrs. Sue Brooks. 36 And this, class, is an upside-down bird-watcher. Sweet Soul Music MRS. SUE L.
