JUDGES: Mrs. Alon Bee, Mr. S. L, Buffy Beach, Mrs. Jan Wilson. Beauty Pageant Enchants Audience Many weeks of work and worry preceded the Second Annual Beauty Pageant held by the Ra- meur Staff on January 8. Fifteen girls selected by the Senior Class ap- peared in three different outfits: sportswear, school- wear, and evening wear. Each girl was judged in three categories: poise, suitability of clothing, and beauty. Serving as judges were Mrs. Alon Bee, director of Hinds Hi-Steppers, Mrs. ,lan Nave Wil- son, former Miss Jackson, and Representative Buffy7' Beach. Jim Mack, local radio deejay, acted as Master of Ceremonies. He introduced each contestant, re- lating her hobbies, past honors and present activi- ties in which she participates. While the girls changed attire, the audience was entertained by Lane 'nl Leen, a duet, Norma Goodson, folk singer, and the Herb Lamb Trio, a local jazz group. The height of excitement reached its peak when Most Beautiful and the three beauties were an- nounced. Another pageant overflowing with t.he grace and charm of beauty at its best had come to a climactic conclusion.
